Opening Ceremony for St. Ignatius Hall Jesuit Community Center and Residence

On December 8th, we joined the Fairfield Jesuit Community and Fairfield University in an opening ceremony for St. Ignatius Hall Jesuit Community Center and Residence, which overlooks the university, the town, and Long Island Sound.  The completion of this three-year collaboration with the Jesuits, the building’s warm welcome to the campus by the University community, and the rare privilege of attending the consecration of the Our Lady of the Way Chapel, were a truly rewarding culmination of an eventful and challenging 2009.

Storage Barn recieves an American Architecture Award from the Chicago Atheneum

In November, we were honored to receive a 2009 American Architecture Award from the Chicago Atheneum’s Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, and Design for the Storage Barn, a net-zero energy utility and material storage building in Washington, Connecticut completed in 2008.  The awards jury, held in Stuttgart, was comprised of noted German architecture and design practitioners who reviewed hundreds of entries from U.S. firms with projects in- and outside the United States and from international architects building in America.  The Storage Barn will be part of an international exhibition opening in Athens in February and touring the United States during 2010.
