Karen Scott is the Professional Practice Director at Gray Organschi Architecture. Her primary responsibilities include design development, project management, and administering firm-wide quality assurance measures. For twenty-five years, she has worked on projects world-wide, at a variety of program types and scales, and for a diverse clientele. Her experience includes numerous award winning projects ranging from a comprehensive, 50-year masterplan for Syracuse University and a family compound in Little Compton, Rhode Island. At Gray Organschi Architecture, her work spans community projects for the NYC Department of Design and Construction, Common Ground High School, and Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail where her skills guide regulatory and review processes, project and construction administration, and the coordination of extensive project team members and their work. Karen leads projects with a combination of consensus-building while protecting the underlying design precepts. She received her education at the University of Florida and University of Pennsylvania, from which she holds degrees in Architecture and Urban Design.
