Millie brings her background as a former ballet dancer to explore the immediate relationship between the body and the environment, particularly in the office's smaller scale and residential projects. A native of Japan, she values the aesthetic and ecological philosophies of using wood to construct habitable spaces.

In addition to her role as a designer, Millie also serves as a photographer for office projects. Her published work for GOA includes the AIA Connecticut Design Awards and the Yale Alumni Magazine.

Millie holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.
