Sonya Ursell

In her work at GOA, Sonya pursues a longtime interest in sustainable and responsible building. She enjoys working to achieve a comprehensive and cohesive design strategy from the scale of the building down to the building details. In addition to her design work, Sonya also helps to manage the firm's marketing needs.

Sonya moved to New Haven from New York City, where she worked for several years after receiving her Master of Architecture from Columbia University GSAPP. Prior to graduate school, she was a construction crew leader with Habitat for Humanity near her hometown in California.

Sonya received her Bachelor of Arts in History from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. She is a registered architect in the States of New York and Connecticut.
